Global financial services firm seeks Associate, Treasury/Liquidity, to partner with management to establish the vision, lead strategic projects, and manage routine requirements that enhance identification/management of liquidity through periods of stress.
Requirements
- Analyzing and prioritizing availability of sources of liquidity
- Analyzing new business initiatives and products to assess their liquidity risks and funding and capital requirements
- Creating presentations related to liquidity, funding and capital for discussion with Board of Directors, senior management, counterparties, clients, ratings agencies, and regulators
- Participating in development and enhancement of relevant stress scenarios to evaluate liquidity needs vs. viability of liquidity sources (incl. linkage with Dodd Frank Recovery and Resolution Plans)
- Producing key risk management metrics that are used to manage day-to-day risks
- Leading development of regulatory and management reporting such as stress early warning indicators and liquidity sources availability estimates
- Leading development of knowledge management tools and technology
- Leading ad hoc analyses to support regulatory requests
- Interpreting and responding to new regulations that have an impact on liquidity, funding and/or capital
- Benchmarking regulatory compliance and industry best practices for CFP, assessing gaps against internal approach, and recommending enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field
- Master’s Degree in Finance or related business experience preferred
- 4-7 years of financial services experience in Treasury, Capital Markets, Finance &/or Liquidity Risk Management
- International financial services experience a plus
- Deep understanding of how to identify, measure, monitor & control financial services liquidity risks
- Strong research skills – ability to decipher detailed policy/regulatory guidelines or market trends data into key action items and develop recommendations
Compensation: 120,000 plus bonus, performance based
