Director Hospitality Acquisitions

Responsibilities
• Build and execute hospitality acquisition strategy
• Source deals that present excellent financial opportunities both with short-term and long-term upside potential, specializing in hospitality assets
• Cold call and contact brokers, landlords and developers to identify new on- and off-market leads on properties
• Leverage persuasive negotiation skills to optimize deal terms and close acquisition transactions
• Oversee analysis and utilize market research (including demographics, psychographics, supply and demand data) to accurately underwrite and structure transactions for potential asset purchases
• Partner with internal teams and attorneys to handle all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations
• Drive due diligence process by incorporating subject matter experts, verifying underwriting assumptions, and dissecting operational complexities; escalate issues and make recommendations based on findings
• Provide frequent status reports on all potential acquisitions
• Lead transition process to hand-off newly acquired properties/portfolios to Asset Management and other relative departments post-purchase

Job Qualifications
• Must be able to take a deal from inception to closing full cycle
• 8-12 years of hospitality experience
• Thorough understanding of deal structuring, lease language and negotiations
• Self-starter and able to work independently with the ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of hospitality operations
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation skills
• Well-developed organizational skills, flexible and ability to multi-task
• Able to work in a fast-paced evolving environment
• Excellence in relationship management
• Willing to travel extensively
