Lead Auditor- Financial Crime Compliance- Global Investment Bank
Great opportunity to grow within the expanding Internal Audit group of this Global Investment Bank, utilizing industry-leading audit methodology and state of the art systems.

  • Monitor and proactively assess emerging financial crime risks across the Bank; participate in deliver anti-financial crime core audit work; and provide subject matter expertise support to other audit teams.
  • As the SME for Anti-Financial Crime (including AML and ABC), build, develop and manage key relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to AFC risks in accordance with group audit methodology and the established risk assessment framework.
  • Conduct AFC risk assessment for US and South America region and contribute to risk assessment / business monitoring conducted at the country level by country heads.
  • Undertake audit assignments, draft audit issues for review by audit management, facilitate issue tracking and validate closure of issues.  Participate in meetings with business auditors and provide input business lead audits.
  • Pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas and work in an integrated manner with fellow team members both locally and globally.
  • When required assist in training other GA staff on AML and oversee execution of the AFC audit program.
  • Maintain and develop broad regulatory experience.  Keep current on business/industry changes and their effect on the audit plan/approach and risk assessments.
  • Occasional travel may be required.



  • 5-12 years of experience within financial services in an AML/Compliance function or AFC Internal Audit role.
  • Internal audit and /or practical experience within the financial services industry covering Anti-Financial Crime topics (e.g., AML, anti-bribery and corruption, fraud).
  • Thorough understanding of banking risk and control environment, regulatory changes and in depth knowledge of the regulatory environment.
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels within Group Audit and with the client.
  • Flexible, pro-active, self sufficient and innovative individual with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to take ownership and responsibility of agreed targets and meet them within budget to enable a timely and efficient completion of audit projects.
  • Natural role model and reference point for the individual’s peer group.
  • Bachelors degree
  • CAMS and CFE certifications considered a strong plus.
  • Legal degree a plus.
