Real Estate Acquisitions Manager

Highly regarded privately owned, value-oriented real estate owner, operator and development firm is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent modeling skills to analyze and evaluate potential real estate acquisitions. This position will report directly to the Principal and will provide ample opportunity to take on increasing amounts of responsibility with partner-track potential for the right individual

Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed financial analysis and modeling of investment proposals to determine risk and likely returns for each potential acquisition.
• Handle market research for target geographic areas
• Drive the due diligence and transaction process for new investment opportunities

• Prepare internal investment analysis and performing detailed financial modeling

• Identify business issues and concerns for each investment and recommend ways to resolve them
• Create investment memorandum for each new investment opportunity
• Assist in the analysis and modeling of alternative and complex structured deals when such opportunities arise
• Work with 3rd parties to obtain relevant information for each potential investment opportunity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic background.
• 3 + years of relevant work experience in real estate, investment banking or private equity
• Strong quantitative skills with experience building real estate valuation models and distribution waterfalls
• Excellent knowledge of multiple real estate asset classes and the entire capital structure
• Interest in exposure to alternative asset classes (hedge funds, infrastructure, financial services)
• Familiarity with transaction processes, including joint venture structuring
• Ability to thrive in a small team environment
• Excellent analytical, business and communication skills
• Enthusiastic attitude with ability to work with minimal direction
