High-growth, acquisitive Asset Manager making inroads into the Private Equity and Private Credit space has created a new position, VP of Accounting Policy. This company is already public overseas and building out their US infrastructure, so this is a unique opportunity to get in at the ground floor and take a leadership position in partnership with a very strong Director.  Hybrid 2 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Research technical accounting topics on key subjects like foreign currency exchange, business combinations, earnings per share, lease accounting, stock compensation and revenue, etc.
• Partner with business units to ensure internal controls and accounting guidance is consistent with US GAAP
• Support continues improvement across SEC Reporting, SOX and Accounting Policies
• Participate in relevant industry groups/seminars/conferences and study peer companies to monitor and identify best practices in accounting and financial reporting
• Special projects in addition to merger and acquisition support

Requirements:

• 8+ years of Accounting Advisory or public/private Accounting Policy experience
• Financial Services experience required
• Significant experience with technical accounting research under US GAAP, IFRS is a plus
• Public Company experience and familiarity with legal agreements and sales/revenue contracts
• Superior written and oral communication skills

Base salary up to 180k + bonus
