Jacob Lefkowitz is a Managing Director at Marcus & Associates, where he leads the firm’s real estate practice. Since joining in 2016, Jacob has built one of the industry’s leading recruiting platforms, partnering with public and private REITs, private equity firms, investment managers, sovereign wealth funds, developers, service providers, investment banks, and advisory firms.

Jacob is recognized as a trusted advisor to board members, executives, and leadership teams across the real estate and investment landscape. Beyond recruitment, he provides guidance on organizational design, succession planning, and long-term talent strategy, helping clients build teams that position them for growth and stability.

His experience spans senior leadership searches, full team buildouts, and key strategic hires across acquisitions, asset management, development, capital raising, investor relations, portfolio management, finance, and accounting. Whether filling a CFO role for a public REIT, assembling a development team for a private equity backed venture, or finding a critical hire for an entrepreneurial platform, Jacob approaches each search with the same commitment to excellence and partnership.

Before joining Marcus & Associates, Jacob was Director of Business Development for a multi-office surgical practice in New York, where he helped drive significant expansion. He graduated from Muhlenberg College and lives in New York City.

Outside of work, Jacob is an avid golfer and sports fan, and he heads the young leadership board of Heartbeet Lifesharing, a Camphill community for adults with developmental disabilities in Vermont a cause he has been committed to throughout his life.
