Quickly growing Private Equity Credit Fund seeks a Legal Entity Controller/Assistant Controller to take the lead on all things Financial Statement and Financial Reporting for complex entities (not fund accounting). Incredible exposure to transactions (IPO and M&A). More seasoned candidates will be considered at the Controller level.  Hybrid work arrangement.  

· Drive end-to-end accuracy and completeness of filing requirements for certain public and private entities

· Partner with the deal team on new and existing investments for valuation and financial reporting

· Liaise with operations regarding books and records, including review of trade and re-organization activity.

· Develop the financial systems and processes to support current and future publicly traded entities

· Ensure timely month end and quarterly closings

· Portfolio monitoring and valuation review

· Partner with external auditors and spearhead internal control initiatives

· Prepare management reports and profitability analyses

· Stay abreast of evolving technical accounting and SEC rules

· Evaluation of quarterly balance sheet and income statement analytics.

Requirements

· 6+ years of experience in public accounting and in-house financial services industry (asset management, banking and/or insurance industry preferred)

· Experience with debt securities, CLOs, structured finance and derivatives

· Legal entity controllership experience

· Superior communication skills and comfort with cross-functional projects

· CPA

Base salary of 160-200k + bonus
