Executive Vice President – Development

Our client is a NYSE listed real estate investment trust focused on managing, acquiring, developing, and redeveloping retail real estate in urban communities
As part of the Executive leadership team, the Executive Vice President of Development is expected to collaborate with the entire Executive Team to ensure corporate excellence and progress. This role is critical to the company’s long-term strategy, development goals and corporate culture.
• Responsibilities Include:
Lead and oversee strategic planning, development, and execution of real estate projects including new construction, renovations, expansions re-tenanting and redevelopment of all company assets.

• Manage all development, construction, tenant coordination, financial underwriting and administrative personnel within the development group, as well as external teams and consultants.
• Manage teams to ensure successful project budget and schedule deliveries.
• Manage teams to cross-function, and also to collaborate with all other corporate teams in a collective manner.
• Will be responsible for organizational development by building out each of the development, construction, tenant coordination and financial development teams.
• Evaluation of investment opportunities, ensuring receipt of all project approvals, negotiation skills and a strong focus on positive project returns that ensure corporate growth.
Skills and Experience
• Fifteen+ years’ experience in large scale commercial real estate development.
• Experience should include redevelopments, renovations, acquisitions, construction, and tenant coordination.
• Successful track record of on-time, on-budget project execution.
• Experience with budget management and funding requests for development, redevelopment andconstruction projects with track record of meeting or coming under budget.
• Strong leadership skills and strategic thinker with ability to work cross functionally throughout organization, especially C-suite.
